Diabetes Solutions

We loved working with Diabetes Solutions and learning how they help kids and adults cope with their diabetes. We want to thank Casey Bottoms and Kim Boaz for making it such a smooth process, and we appreciate all they do in the community. They put on some amazing camps for kids so they can interact with others with the same lifestyle. Please read below to learn more and make sure to visit their site! http://dsok.net

Diabetes Solutions thanks T&Sdsok.netAs you probably know, this year we’ve been giving away one website a month to non-profits here in Oklahoma. Diabetes Solutions was the winner in February, and we launched their site awhile back.

Well, we just received their newsletter in the mail the other day, and they were kind enough to include a thank you note to us in their newsletter.

Kim and Casey, you were great to work with, and we appreciate the opportunity to help you guys out. Enjoy the website!

Mark your calendar for Diabetes Solutions: Monday Sept 21

Eat at Habanero’s anytime on Monday, September 21st and Habanero’s will donate a portion of their proceeds to Diabetes Solutions of Oklahoma.

Diabetes Solutions of Oklahoma is one of our clients this year. One of their most recognized events is their camps for kids with diabetes. The campers hang out with others in a similar situation to their own, and they can learn how to take care of themselves. Casey Bottoms, from Diabetes Solutions, forwarded this email on to me, so please make an effort to help a good cause!

Diabetes Solutions is near and dear to us because of their camp for kids with diabetes.  Kayla has attended the last three years and the benefits of this camp are immeasurable.  She loves to be able to spend a week as a “normal” kid and has learned that just because you have diabetes, there are no limits to what you can do.  We want to make sure this program continues year after year so please consider joining us on Monday, September 21st to eat out and support a great cause!

We appreciate any and all advertising for the event.  We are planning a raffle for that evening, if you have something or some service you would like to donate as a raffle item, we would certainly appreciate any donation.  Just reply to this e-mail and I will be happy to pick it up for the event.

Hope to see you there ~ don’t forget to invite all your friends and family!

Thanks!

Help 8 year old Dillon go to camp

By Tim Priebe on July 16, 2009 at 2:48 pm in Client Plug,General

Diabetes Solutions of Oklahoma logoOne of our clients is Diabetes Solutions of Oklahoma. One of the things they do is run camps for kids with diabetes, so they can hang out with others in a similar situation to their own, and learn how to take care of themselves. I recently received the following email from Casey Bottoms, our contact at DSOK.

Tim,

I recently came across a camper who really needs some help. Dillon is 8 years old and has Type 1 diabetes. His mother passed away and his father works on a limited income. His dad is a very hard worked (as well as a very dedicated parent) and is having some trouble sending his son to diabetes camp. Dillon desperately wants to meet friends with diabetes and feel like a “normal” kid. We were able award him with a $300 scholarship. He still needs $150 to be able to attend.

Do you know of a business or individual that would be interested in donating to Dillon? I really feel like this family could use some additional support and that he would greatly benefit from this program.

Thank you for your time,

Casey Leigh Bottoms
