Programming Intern Needed

By Tim Priebe on August 24, 2011 at 2:15 pm in General

It’s the marvelous fall season again, which means it’s time for a new intern here at T&S. Who doesn’t want to get everyone in the office coffee and make runs to Sonic during happy hour? Oh, and occasionally there’s actual programming involved.

This year we need one programming intern to work around 20 hours a week. As usual, we’re not too worried about experience level, but are most interested in someone who wants to learn.

If you’re interested in becoming an Orangite, give our job hotline a call at 237-8080. Be ready to leave a detailed message with the following information:

  1. Your name
  2. Your telephone number
  3. Your email address (please spell it out)
  4. Where you go to school
  5. Tell us why you think you would be perfect for this job

It’s okay if you get confused, just hang up and call back again. But try to do it before the tone sounds. We don’t need to hear a message with your heavy breathing on it.

Oh, and we’ll be taking applications through the job hotline until midnight September 11th. The internship will be for the duration of the 2011-2012 school year. Once again, the number is 237-8080.

New boss, new co-workers, new responsibilities

By Scott Maslar on May 19, 2011 at 7:13 am in General

Adam and ScottStarting a new job can be, well… awkward.

Everything is new.

New boss, new co-workers, new responsibilities.

Then, if youʼre a programmer, thereʼs a plethora of programs to learn and logins to memorize (I have at least three different passwords depending on what Iʼm logging into). Thatʼs not to mention the incredibly maze-ish file systems we get to navigate.

Week one is literally information overload.

Youʼd have to ask Adam and Keith to get an exact time, but Iʼm pretty sure I didnʼt go longer then five minutes without interrupting them to ask a question. Iʼm brand new to all of this and Iʼm trying my best to be a sponge.

Letʼs see, Iʼve worked on maintenance requests, burned launch cdʼs, learned our task system, performed troubleshooting, and edited training videos as well other small tasks during the last five days.

Everything is new, and itʼs testing my brains.

Donʼt think Iʼm complaining though, because the fact that everything is new is the best part.

New opportunities. New experiences. New challenges.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, my nameʼs Scott, and Iʼm new too.

You, too, could be a T&S intern: 241-1051

The infamous intern Chradam

The infamous intern Chradam

It’s back-to-school time again! For T&S, that means it’s time to look for a new batch of interns to pay measly salaries in exchange for back-breaking web design work.

This year, we’re looking for additional programming and design interns to work up to 20 hours a week per intern. We don’t really care about experience level, but are more interested in drive and willingness (and ability) to learn.

If you’re interested in going to get full-timers coffee on a regular basis and occasionally do design and programming work as well, call our job hotline at 241-1051. Be ready to leave a detailed message with the info I ask for.

It’s okay if you get confused, just hang up and call back again. But try to do it before the tone sounds. We don’t need to hear a message with your heavy breathing on it.

T&S is looking for an additional programming intern to work 20 hours a week this summer. As is always the case with us, this is a paid internship.

If you’re interested in joining our team here at T&S, just call our intern job hotline at 241-1051. Listen to the entire message, then leave the information that you’ll hear me ask for.

Don’t have web experience? That’s okay! We focus on hiring interns who are willing to learn, not those with web experience.

And if you know of anyone who would be a good candidate, be sure to pass this information along to them as well.

I’m excited to announce that we’re ready to hire new interns for the fall. We’ll be hiring both design and programming interns. There will be either 2 or 3 of each, for a combined 40 hours designers and 40 hours programmers.

And these are paid internships, though we’re fine if you get school credit for them as well.

If you’re interested in joining our team here at T&S, just call our intern job hotline at 241-1051. Listen to the entire message, then leave the information that you’ll hear me ask for.

We’re looking to hire on a full-time programmer student worker for this summer, with the possibility of continuing on into the school year. We are looking for someone who learns quickly. Experience in the following is a plus, but IS NOT absolutely necessary:
