Heavenly Harvest Coffee / Mission Nicaragua
Challenge
Heavenly Harvest Coffee is grown in Nicaragua. Unlike most gourmet coffees, this coffee is part of a greater purpose: Proceeds directly benefit the people of Nicaragua and mission work being done there by Mission Nicaragua. David and Kim Romero are Church of Christ missionaries/coffee farmers who operate Heavenly Harvest Coffee and oversee Mission Nicaragua.
We had designed a website for Mission Nicaragua before the Romeros left for Nicaragua. However, by the time they were ready to sell coffee, they decided they wanted two sites. One would focus on Mission Nicaragua, the mission work. The other would focus on Heavenly Harvest Coffee and make coffee available for purchase online.
Solution
We agreed to overhaul the look and content for Mission Nicaragua. In addition, we created two sites that were similar in design, as they were sister sites, but distinct enough so that there would be no confusion. On the Mission Nicaragua site we set up a blog and some software Kim could use to update the gallery. On the Heavenly Harvest Coffee site, we developed a page and form to order coffee online. We also used our professional photographer to take photos that captured the essence of this ministry and the Romeros.
